Meet your 2022 director candidates

Benton County, District 1 — Robert E. Norton

Robert is the current Benton County, District 1 CMEC Board Director and is completing his first term this year. Member since Sept. 1979. Robert is a retired farmer. He is married to Mary with three children and seven grandchildren. Before retirement, Robert also worked as a Navy air traffic controller and Vo-Ag instructor. He is a previous member of the United States Navy and the Benton County Cattleman's Association. 

 

Benton County, District 1 — Dorcas Brethower

Member since Aug. 1995. Dorcas works at the MO State Fair Foundation doing general office and bookkeeping work. She is married to Rod with three children: Hanna, Kyle, and Stuart. Dorcas and her husband have owned and operated Barefoot Express, a freight brokerage, for 30 years where she has handled APIAR and payroll. She is active in the chamber of commerce, the Benton County Board of Tourism and the Benton County Community Foundation. 

Benton County, District 1 — Marvin Dieckman

Member since 1995. Marvin is a self-employed farmer and beef producer. Marvin is married to Carolyn with three sons and eleven grandchildren. Marvin worked as a dairy farmer from 1979 to 1990, Gates Rubber Co. from 1986 to 1993, and for the United States Postal Service from 1993 to 2016 before retiring from the USPS. He is a member Holy Cross Lutheran Church, the Missouri Cattleman Association, and the Benton County Cattleman Association. 

Saline County, District 3 — Alan Zimmerschied

Alan is the current Saline County, District 3 CMEC Board Director and is completing his first term this year. Member since 1999. Alan is a systems integrator at Marshall Electrical Contracting. He is married to Michelle and has two sons, Corbin and Brody. Alan has worked in the industrial electrical and automation field since 1998 including working as a controls tech at MU Power Plant for four years.

Saline County, District 3 — Donald Boland

Member since 1996. Donald is a self-employed farmer, which he has done for the past 32 years. He raises row crop and cattle. He is married to Michelle with a 23-year-old daughter, Bailey, and a 19-year-old son, Brock. 

 

 

 

Pettis County, District 2 — Robert Leftwich

Robert is the current Pettis County, District 2 CMEC Board Director and has held the position since 2013. Member since 1964. Robert is a retired crop and livestock farmer who taught science at Northwest High School for seven years and served as the Pettis County Collector for 36 years. Robert is married to Barbara Mouchen with two children, Brian and Lisa, and four grandchildren. Robert is active in his Rotary Club where he has served on several boards. 

Pettis County, District 2 — Daren Leicher

Member since 2001. Daren is a self-employed owner and operator of a grain and cattle farm. He is married to Lori and they have two children, Truman and Colt.
