Pettis County, District 2 — Robert Leftwich
Member since 1964. Robert has been on the CMEC Board of Directors since 2013. He is married to Barbara Houchen with two children, Lisa and Brian. They also have four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Robert is a retired crop and livestock farmer who also taught science at Northwest High School for seven years. Robert also served as the Pettis County Collector for 36 years.
Pettis County, District 2 — Daren Leicher
Member since 2001. Daren is married to Lori and they have two children: 27-year-old Truman and 14-year-old Colt. Daren is a farmer. He serves on the FCS Financial Stockholders Advisory Committee and is a baseball coach for the Hughesville team in the Kaysinger Youth Summer League.
Saline County, District 3 — Alan Zimmerschied
Member since 1999. Alan has been on the CMEC Board of Directors since 2019. He has been married to Michelle for 25 years and together they have two sons: 19-year-old Corbin and 17-year-old Brody. Alan operates a small family cattle farm. He also budgets, plans and schedules projects for a food processing plant where he maintains and updates automation/electrical equipment for the food processing equipment.
Saline County, District 3 — Donald Boland
Member since 1998. Donald is married to his wife Michelle and they have a daughter, Bailey and son, Brock. He runs a farming operation with six CMEC meters
Benton County, District 1 — Mark L. Smith
Member since 2017. Mark is married to Becky and they have three children: Cindy of Sedalia, Natalie of Ionia, and Tyler of Pawleys Island, South Carolina. He is the president of the Benton County Cattlemen’s Association. He previously served as the president and chairman of the Missouri Independent Bankers Association and has held numerous other positions in community organizations. He’s spent his life in agriculture and owns and operates Palo Pinto Ranch in Lincoln raising angus commercial breeding stock. He is the co-owner of the Palo Pinto Ranch Store with Becky.
Mark has also worked for 40 years in community banking and is a part-time bank and business consultant. Over 28 years he served as the president of four banks including First Missouri Bank in Brookfield. He’s spent 50 years as an auctioneer for Smith Auctioneers, LLC.
Benton County, District 1 — Marvin Dieckman
Member since 1995. Marvin is married to Carolyn and they have three sons and 11 grandchildren. Marvin and Carolyn have a cow/calf operation northeast of Cole Camp. He spent 22 years as a letter carrier for the USPS before retiring. He is a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Cole Camp, the Benton County Cattlemen’s Association where he previously served as an officer, the Missouri Cattlemen’s Association where he previously served on the officer team and as treasurer and the National Cattlemen’s Association. He has served in various positions on his church’s council, on the Benton County 4-H Board, FFA Fair Board, and Cole Camp MFA Board of Directors.
